Two different questions

A journey time. Or a whole reachable area.

“How long would it take
to get there?”

Travel time

Help visitors judge the journey between a home and another place. Distance alone misses the way streets and transport connect.

Route documentation

“Where could I get to
in 20 minutes?”

Isochrones

Return a reachable area as GeoJSON. Display the shape on a map, or use it in your own property-search logic.

Isochrone documentation

Real routes, useful distances. Yatmo’s distances are calculated along the travel network for the selected mode, not measured as the crow flies.

Your search experience

You bring the listings.
We bring the reachable area.

01

Choose an origin

Use a property address or a point your visitor selects.

02

Ask for a travel-time area

Provide the coordinates, mode and time limit. Yatmo returns the geometry.

03

Apply it to your catalogue

Your application matches properties to the area and presents the results.

A few details matter.

Handle both Polygon and MultiPolygon responses. The area describes travel outwards from the origin; the reverse journey can differ. Transit coverage depends on the country and available timetables.

For product and engineering teams

Design around a real journey.

Is this the same as drawing a radius?

No. A radius measures straight-line distance. An isochrone follows the reachable network for the mode and duration you request.

Can we display the area on our own map?

Yes. The isochrone API returns GeoJSON geometry. Your application can draw it on its own map or use it for spatial matching.

Does Yatmo search our property catalogue?

Your application owns the catalogue, search interface and matching logic. Yatmo provides the reachable area and location data.

What should we test during a trial?

Use representative urban and rural addresses, the countries you cover and the modes your visitors need. Agree the product scope and pricing with Yatmo before starting.
